We visit the plantation of one of the founding fathers of the US constitution. Charles Pinckney is not a very well-known figure but is was interesting to learn more about him, the good and the bad stuff. Again we are pleased to see the ugly stuff (he was a vocal supporter of slavery) being discussed. The plantation grew indigo (used as a blue dye) and tea before the region switched to cotton.
We go for a quick dip in the ocean before dinner and park up in Mount Pleasant.
