We head back into
Joshua Tree National Park for another day of bouldering fun. The park
straddles two distictly different desert landscapes and ecosystems.
We start off at the other end of the park this time. The East end is
the Mohave desert which is higher, dryer and flatter. We do a quick
walk around a cactus 'garden'. Even though it's called teddy bear
cactus, there is no cuddling here..
Back to the Colorado
desert with its rugged rock formations. Ready, set, climb!!
Finding a way
through
We do some walks to
named rock formations. Here is Skeleton Rock
We spot more cactus wrens and a desert squirrel (which looks like a chipmunk), the cutest little thing.
What a fun day! We
go back with sore legs from all the climbing.
