Day 141 - Mon 16 Dec 2019 - Austin Nature & Science Centre

As we go into the trailer we discover that the battery is completely empty... and the slide is still out... Luckily, as soon as we start the car, it feeds electricity to the trailer so we can bring the slide in and take off. Phew!

On our way out of Austin we stop by the Nature & Science Centre. It's a nice little interactive museum. They have an interesting section on nano technology, lots of skeletons & rocks and some rescued animals that cannot be returned to wild. We learn that Spanish moss and Ball moss are not actually mosses, but Bromeliads (the pineapple family!). They only use the tree for support and do not damage the tree.

While Niels & Lucy explore the campsite on their bikes, Janine does some shopping and Martijn does a little bit of car cleaning and bike maintenance.
